How to apply your press ons
There are two ways to wear your press ons, depending on how long you want them to last.
- Option 1, short term wear (sticky tabs only): lasts a few days up to 1 week.
- Option 2, long term wear (sticky tabs and glue): lasts at least 3 weeks, and the press ons can be removed and reused afterwards.
What you need
- Your Nailpression Application Kit (included with every order)
- Hot water and a bowl or glass
- A nail buffer
- An alcohol wipe
- Sticky tabs
- A hairdryer
- Liquid nail glue (only needed for Option 2, long term wear)
Option 1: Short term wear
Step 1: Fit the press ons
Dip your press ons into hot water for a moment, then press them gently onto your natural nail so they adapt to the curve of your nail. If a tip does not fit perfectly, file the edges and round them off until it matches your natural nail shape.
Step 2: Prep your nails
Buff your natural nails lightly, especially around the edges and corners, to help the hold last longer. Then wipe your nails with an alcohol wipe to remove dust and any oils.
Step 3: Apply the sticky tabs
Choose the sticky tab size that fits your nail as closely as possible and place it so that about 1 mm of space remains to your cuticle. Then warm up the sticky tabs a little with a hairdryer. This makes them softer and helps them mold to your nail.
Step 4: Apply the press on
Place the press on onto your nail at a 45° angle and slide it upward into position. This way you avoid any gap between your cuticle and the press on. Hold it in place for about a minute until the sticky tab has set.
Your press ons are now ready to wear for a few days up to a week.
Option 2: Long term wear
Follow steps 1 and 2 above the same way. Then continue as follows:
Step 3: Apply the sticky tabs and glue
Choose the sticky tab size that fits your nail as closely as possible and place it so that about 1 mm of space remains to your cuticle. Warm up the sticky tabs a little with a hairdryer, then peel off the tab's protective film and add a small drop of liquid nail glue on top.
Step 4: Apply the press on
Place the press on onto your nail at a 45° angle and slide it upward into position. This way you avoid any gap between your cuticle and the press on. Hold it in place for about a minute until the sticky tab and glue have set.
Your press ons are now ready to wear for at least 3 weeks, and can be removed and reused afterwards.
