The Story Behind Nailpression

Like all good ideas, the idea for Nailpression came at 2am – while I was doing my nails for my 17th birthday.

After the employment agency made it clear to me that, because of AI, I would have no future as a media designer, I knew I wanted to start something of my own. I didn't see any other option. For months, I kept asking myself the questions of the Ikigai principle. Then, in that one night, they all answered themselves.

Very slowly, I started working on my dream in secret, because I was kind of embarrassed to tell anyone about my idea. After all, it's “unrealistic” for me to build a business and be self-employed, right?

And yet, Nailpression is real now.

About Me

Hi, I'm Svetla, 19 years old, a student, nail artist and the person behind Nailpression.

I started doing my own nails at 16, at first with just gel polish. Every now and then, I did my friends' nails for fun. I never planned to turn it into a business. But somewhere between the long nights, the tiny brushes and the joy of putting a smile on someone's face with their nails, I realised this was more than just a hobby.

I'm still in school, still finding my own way, and building this brand step by step.

And honestly? I think that's exactly what makes Nailpression so real.

The Vision

Nailpression was never just about nails. More than anything, I want to build a community where women support and empower each other, where beauty brings us together instead of turning into a competition.

My goal is simple. I want you to feel beautiful, taken care of and truly seen, through art you can wear every single day.
